Kindness - it costs nothing, but can mean everything!
What a blessing to be able to celebrate members of the USDA FSIS Inspection teams, from Pilgrim's, today during worship service.
We were so happy to honor and recognize these team members for their gracious generosity to our church and community. Not only did they collect and donate over 800 pounds of food but also blankets, coats, scarves, gloves, hats, and so on.
They provided us with 18 Thanksgiving food boxes, including a turkey or turkey breast, that we shared with elders or shut-ins from the church and community.
Each year, we collect and share food baskets for Christmas. We were able to combine our efforts with these items to distribute 36 extra large boxes of food within the community.
We shared the inspection team blankets and scarves with a local nursing home and nearby cancer center. After the holidays, we collected winter-gear type items (from church members) for the local schools. We combined all winter wear donations and gave to the Moorefield Elementary & Intermediate Schools.
Words for all to live by were quoted by this team - 'To see the change, be the change!'

Holy Week
Sunday, April 10th - Palm Sunday walk starting at 12 noon at the church. The other local churches will join in the walk and share in a short ceremony in the field behind the library.
Wednesday, April 13th - Choir practice
Thursday, April 14th - Love Feast in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm
Sunday, April 17th - Easter sunrise service at Olivet at 6:30 am. During worship, the choir will have special music and there will be an Egg Hunt for the kids.
Please plan to join us in these Holy Week activities.
